New Series! "WatRcolors"

I recently attended an art show located in downtown Oklahoma City where I met a bunch of artist who were very good, no, extraordinary painters and thinkers. All put together by a kid named Barrett Tarr. Probably one of the most full hearted positive spirits I've met so far being out here. I haven't really talked to him a whole lot since I've only just met him, but from what I've seen and heard from others, this kid is going to probably change the world. If not, definitely some lives.

These people have gotten together every Sunday for the past 3 months attempting to expand the love and passion of "dreams" and "art" within the area. Each one of these individuals are so unique in their art style and attitudes and it honestly blew me away. Once I finally got around people who wanted to do the same things I want to do, I saw things differently. However, I felt a bit out of place. Why? well probably because EVERYONEOFTHEM were painters. They all know how to paint. Very well. Now, if any of you reading this know absolutely anything about me its that I'm colorblind and detest painting. I always have. Don't let the masses full you. It's not the same as shading with a pencil or using a needle point ink pen to achieve the most accurate of detail. So yeah, I definitely don't fit in when it comes to that. SO what I have decided to do is start out by creating simple yet intricate watercolor and ink paintings!

This is new to me because I absolutely cannot stand painting. I feel so out of control with a paint brush. A paint brush is like a girl. At first you think you understand them. And then out of no where the bristles change shape and they make no fucking sense and just make you upset.

Now, I will admit this... I have been using watercolor pencils to properly place where I want color on my paper. Once I have an idea of some colors I get a brush wet and just start blending colors around. THEN without planning a single thing out I take a brush tipped ink pen and begin drawing on my paper. I love this because the colors make everything stand out while the ink just forms a shape or a character within it all.

But, thats not all. Each painting does have a short story of course. Why wouldn't they?

Now the significance of these paintings are they take me maybe an hour or two, depends if I'm drinking, then maybe like 30 minutes haha. But the significance of these are that I don't spend months on them like I usually do on my pieces. So after I finish them, I scan them, and i'll allow them to be sold if someone would like to purchase one! I need to get my work more out there. So since I cannot afford prints yet like I wish I could I'm settling for this fun little series of watercolor fun.

I decided to call the series "WatRcolors" because I have no clue about color half the time. It's random. I'm colorblind and almost don't care to try to make sense of it anymore. So really, what are colors...

If anyone would like anything custom, or would like to purchase one of my WatRcolors, please feel free to email me at taylornicewaner@yahoo.com!

Thanks so much for your time!
